Bring value to governance – Akufo-Addo to new ministers

President Akufo-Addo has urged his newly sworn-in ministers to bring value to the governance of the state as they take office.

Swearing-in 28 out of his 30 nominees for ministerial positions Friday, the President said Ghanaians expect the ministers to work to improve their living standards.

“I am assured that the various background of each one of you will bring value to the governance of our country and enable us to deliver the commitments of our manifesto- the secret compact that ties us the New Patriotic Party to the Ghanaian people”.

“I urge you to provide leadership that will ensure that work that we do, benefits the progress of our nation and help raise the living standard of our people. That is why we are here and that is why the Ghanaian people voted for us,” the President said.

Speaking on behalf of the new Ministers Communications Minister Ursula Owusu Ekuful express gratitude to the President and promised that she and her colleagues will deliver to the best of their abilities.

Finance Minister-designate Ken Ofori-Atta is yet to be vetted due to COVID complications while Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister-designate Ebenezer Kojo Kum who has been vetted already is unwell.
