Migos Rapper Takeoff Killed in Houston Shooting

Migos rapper Takeoff was killed in an early-morning shooting in Houston Tuesday, a representative confirmed to the Associated Press.

The 28-year-old, whose given name is Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot and killed outside a downtown bowling alley where a private party was being held.

TMZ reports Takeoff and fellow Migos rapper Quavo were playing in a dice game when an altercation broke out at approximately 2:30 a.m.

Houston officers arrived at the scene, where they found one person who was identified as a Black man in his 20s suffering a gunshot wound to the head or neck. The victim, who officers did not immediately identify, was pronounced dead at the scene. A rep for the group later confirmed the victim was Takeoff.

Houston PD also confirmed two other victims were injured in the shooting and were transported to a nearby hospital. Their conditions remain unknown.

Just weeks ago, Quavo and Takeoff released their joint album, “Only Built for Infinity Links,” under the moniker “Unc and Phew.”
