The Maiden Edition Of ‘The Fufu Party’ Set To Take Off On Saturday 20th November

The maiden edition of ‘The Fufu Party’ takes off on Saturday, the 20th of November, 2021 in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua.

The aim of this event is to promote our rich Ghanaian food which is deeply embedded in our cultural heritage. Speaking to Mr. Kwabena Bediako Antwi-Dako, the Chief Executive Officer of Wise Ink Concepts, he said, “the reason for choosing fufu is because it is arguably the most popular food across the country and beyond. The event also aims at making our local foods highly attractive to the youth.

We must be proud of who we are and what we have as Ghanaians”. From the preparation to consumption, fufu is a fascinating meal. Made from either a double combination of cassava, plantain, cocoyam and yam, it can be eaten with different types of soups.

The popularity and wide acceptance of fufu means it is a binding gel and a proponent for national cohesion and local tourism booster. The event will be characterised by the dishing out of free fufu only. The accompanying protein option of one’s choice will be purchased.

There cannot be a party without music and since we are promoting Ghana, Highlife music will definitely be present. An assembly of some of Ghana’s finest Highlife musicians will be in action. Dada K.D, K.K Fosu, Kofi Nti, Dada Hafco and Koo Ntakra will dish out some melodies and rhythms for the attendees. A host of public figures will also be present for the occasion.

The Fufu Party is sponsored by Tonyx Hotel, Suites & Spa, Estrella Beer, Bel-Aqua, Josh Travels, MJ Grand Hotel, Flora Tissue, JL Properties, Dede’s Classics, Visible Communications Limited and extracts of natural spices from Onga. Media partners include Kasapa FM, Angel Broadcasting Network, SVTV Africa, Agoo FM/TV, Bryt FM, Freedom FM, Afeema FM, Taste FM and Republic FM.  The event is organised by Wise Ink Concepts.
