Annie~Joy writes: Stop Black Slave Trade In Libya!

The world's most vulnerable, fleeing war and poverty back home, are being abused and auctioned off as slaves - a shocking danger facing migrants and refugees in Libya. It has been reported that hundreds of people are being auctioned in modern day slave markets in Libya for as little as $400.

Libya is the main transit hub for refugees and migrants attempting to reach southern Europe by sea.

They are coming from countries like Nigeria, Eritrea, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Senegal, Sudan and Somalia recorded from Aljazeera.com.

Indeed, it's shocking and hurtful that someone with the motive of going to another man's country in search for greener pastures is caged for slavery in this 21st Century. I cannot as a writer just sit-by and pretend everything is fine  without using my ability to write to air my view and advocate for our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, friends, and relations in Libya.

We have had many, a lot has been heard and seen but this is unheard of us as AFRICANS.

Libya, where did African go wrong! Why are you making your country a threat to human settlement.
It's sad! Very sad.  So sad that I am so much out of words. I don't know what words to use and what not to.

It cannot be news that Libya, our African country which is perpetrating this horrific crime has not got a "Zoo" in their country, where animals are carefully caged and carted for and are not meant to be sold.

Then, I ask myself, is it because they assumed humans have lost the status of humanity? Or their country is a "no man's land" for hospitality? This is unheard! This is sad! This is nothing to be written home about!

In all I will go on by saying; the harm has already been caused. Those who have died in the process of the crime can not be brought back to life but what can we do to help those who are still alive under this torture? Those who have gone hungry for only God knows how many days, weeks, and months.

In the middle of the night this was the prayer of a victim in Libya: "GOD, you could take my life in your own way rather than leave me to suffer, tortured and sold in the hands of that man who is thinking of selling me today... Better still, you can work this your own way. Prompt the heart of other countries, the United Nation, the Rich, public Figures, the celebrities and the capable individual who can make provision and take an action for our freedom, not to forget about the Media houses, For our fundamental human rights have been trembled upon, it has been abuse. They have touched your creature, they have tortured me".

I write on the behalf of the victims in the Black slave trade in Libya. We are calling on all associations, countries being African countries, western countries, foundations, institutions, media houses, journalists, public figures, Celebrities and capable individuals to act on our behalf. Today will never come again.

Be a blessing. Be a friend. Encourage someone. Take time to care. Be an inspiration today. Make today judiciously amazing.

We have mouths to talk but we are in a point in our life where our mouths have been shut.

Do the talking for us. This is not time to appreciate the grace of GOD in your life because you are not in this situation, rather this is the time you need to go down before GOD on a victim’s behalf. My fellow Christians and Muslims.

I write on the behalf of the Victims in LIBYA.

This is my capability. I wish I could do extra. Add up to my capability.

Be an advocate to this.
