Coach Otto Addo resigns as Ghana Black stars head coach

Otto Addo has stepped down as Ghana manager following Ghana's elimination from the World Cup.

He will concentrate on his role as a trainer scout at German club Borussia Dortmund.

The former Ghana international had stated that he would leave after the World Cup, and he announced his departure after the Black Stars were defeated 2-0 by Uruguay to crash out of the Qatar tournament.

"As I said before, I have an assistant role. It was clear  that I will stop after the World cup. At the moment me and my family will see our future in Germany "

Otto Addo was named interim manager in March and was confirmed as substantive coach after leading the Black Stars to secure World Cup qualification at the expense of Nigeria.

Ghana failed to impress in Qatar, winning one and losing two of three group games. They began their campaign with a 3-2 defeat, recovered against South Korea, and then failed to beat Uruguay.
