Harry and Meghan share first picture of baby Lilibet in holiday card

Prince Harry and wife Meghan have shared a festive card with the first picture of six-month-old Lilibet.

The card, titled Happy Holidays, says: “This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world.

“Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa’, and Lili made us a family. As we look forward to 2022, we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families – from those being relocated from Afghanistan, to American families in need of paid parental leave”.

The photograph was taken by Alexi Lubomirski, a professional photographer who also shot their wedding.

It shows Prince Harry holding son Archie close while beaming up at his young daughter Lilibet, who is being held by her mother Meghan.

Signing off the card, they write: “Wishing you a happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year, from our family to yours!

“As ever, Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lili.”

The couple will celebrate Christmas at their family home in Los Angeles, where they relocated from the UK in March 2020.

According to a statement from Harry and Meghan’s Archewell foundation, the couple have made contributions to a number of charities this Christmas.

They include Team Rubicon, Welcome.US, Human First Coalition, Humanity Crew, Paid Leave For All, PL+US and Marshall Plan for Moms.

Welcome.US helps Afghan refugees to settle in America, while Team Rubicon mobilises military veterans for disaster response.

It follows the announcement that the Queen will spend Christmas Day with the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

The monarch confirmed she would remain in Windsor for Christmas amid the rapid spread of the Omicron variant of Covid in the UK.
