Comedian Funny Face Granted GH¢20,000 Bail

Actor and comedian, Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, aka Funny Face, has been granted a GHc20,000 bail by a Kaneshie Magistrate Court.

Funny Face had been hauled before the court for threatening to kill the mother of his twins and in turn commit suicide.

The court committed him to a medical facility for mental examination after the prosecution led by ASP Sylvester Asare prayed the court to do so.

He was scheduled to return to court on November 20, 2021 but was put before the court on Monday when he was discharged by the Accra Psychiatric Hospital after undergoing two medical examinations.

It is unclear what the results of the examinations are.

He has now been granted a bail of GHc20,000 with two sureties by the court presided over by Oheneba Kuffour who ordered Funny Face to report to the police twice every week.

He will reappear before the court on November 24, 2021.
