Ghanaian HR Colossus, Irene Asare has been appointed the HR Director on the BBC News Board. She will be responsible for all HR activities across News.

Welcoming another Ghanaian Senior Leader to the BBC - Irene Asare has been appointed the HR Director on the BBC News Board. Irene has overseen the transformation of many organisations across Europe and Africa, including Tullow Oil and Standard Bank Group. As HR Director, Irene will be responsible for all HR activity across News. 💪🏾👏🏽👏🏽

 

Irene has a wealth of experience as HR Professional and has overseen the transformation of many organisations across Europe and Africa, including Vodafone, Tullow Oil and Standard Bank Group.

She has been in the media space for a good number of years, engaging in various facets of the Ghanaian media.

She is the founder of CarvinClay People Development, an HR and People Development consultant and runs an HR Mentoring Programme. 

Irene Asare has earned Global Executive Master Business Administration (GEMBA), Business Administration and Management from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS)

She also has an MA in Human Resource Management from Kingston University.
