2020 Afro Nation Ghana cancelled

The 2020 edition of the biggest end of year music festival, Afro Nation Ghana, has been cancelled.

The cancellation follows an increase in coronavirus cases in the country and across the globe ahead of the December holidays.

In a press statement, the organisers said they had been in talks with authorities and partners to decide how the year’s event will go amid the virus.

However, considering the effects of coronavirus around the globe they have decided it is safer to cancel the event this year.

The team is hoping they get the chance to host the event in 2021 adding that “it is going to be a celebration like no other.”

“We already have some unique and exciting plans in place to return to the motherland next rear, and we cannot wait to see you all there. It is going to be special. Until then, stay safe and look after each other.”

Afro Nation, the biggest concert in December, brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate music and the end of year holidays in style.

The 2019 edition of the event had headliners including BurnaBoy, Stonebwoy, Davido, Wizkid, Shatta Wale and others.
