Miss Metropolitan Ghana Finals slated for Sunday, October 4

The grand finale of this year’s edition of the annual Miss Metropolitan Ghana pageant comes off on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the new Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) conference hall.

The beauty pageant in its fourth year will see 12 ladies, who have made it to the finals, representing the respective 6 metropolitan cities namely Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Tamale, Cape Coast and Sekondi-Takoradi, battle it out for the crown, a trip to Kigali, Rwanda and other consolation prizes.

The event, which is under the theme: “The Role of the Ghana Woman in Fighting Covid-19” promises to be fun packed with a performance from Femi DeBankbouy and would be aired live on Pan African TV.

All 12 contestants will go through three stages that is talent, speech and answer questions from judges in order to determine who gets crowned as Miss Metropolitan Ghana 2020.

According to Mr Dennis Glah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Miss Metro Foundation, the foundation is a non-governmental orgainisation (NGO) specifically established to create awareness about the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“We believe that if a young lady wears a crown and goes to a primary school and speaks to the kids about hand washing, it’s effective, they can relate to such a person and the education becomes massive.”

He says the Miss Metropolitan Ghana beauty pageant is not about the glitz and glamour rather “it’s about young ladies availing themselves to become tools for public education.”

The Miss Metropolitan Ghana finale is powered by King Glah Event Productions and supported by Pan African Television, Jekora Ventures, AMA, City Gold, Sun City Garden, Voltic, Melcom, Vienna City, Blue Skies, GH Media School and Ghana Coalition of NGOs in the Water and Sanitation Sector (CONWAS) which where the ultimate Miss Metropolitan Ghana 2020 will be crowned.
