I wanted to guage fans reaction to my new hairstyle – Kuami Eugene

Highlife artiste Kuami Eugene says he had his all-new hairstyle done to see the reaction of his fans and Ghanaians.

In an interview with JoyNews’ Doreen Avio, he disclosed that his hair grows fast and, therefore, had to go to the salon every now and then to get a haircut.

However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he has not had that chance to go to the saloon as he used to.

Kuami Eugene said he decided to try the new hairstyle after growing his hair during the lockdown.

“I have a problem where when I trim my hair today, it grows back so soon. And you know due to the Covid-19 lockdown and most of us are home now, I decided to leave my hair to grow. I left it and brought a lady to twist it for me and I had this. So let me try it on and see how people are going to react to this haircut,” he disclosed.

According to Kuami Eugene, he has been receiving both praise and criticisms.

“This is the first we are seeing Kuami Eugene, people have known my brand and even say I’m a church boy, cool descent and fine highlife guy and all of a sudden boom. My fans were even asking if I’m about to do dancehall or I’m switching my genre of music and a lot,” he said.

Kuami Eugene also stated that due to his brand, a lot of people think he has to behave well so that he does not go wayward.

“With my brand, I am in a position where everybody thinks they have a say in my life. They need to nurture me because I am a young boy and if they don’t nurture me, I will go wayward so that is what I am actually facing now.”

Kuami Eugene, therefore, revealed that the decision to keep his haircut would come from the feedback he is receiving.
