Wiyaala builds an Art Center in Funsi

The ‘Lioness of Africa’, Noella Wiyalla has started building an arts centre for the people of Funsi in Upper West Region of Ghana.

Last year, the Wa-born Afro-pop singer revealed she has been given a piece of land by the local authorities of Funsi for an Arts Centre.

The androgynous singer-songwriter from Tumu may have a past as a chorister, but today she means business. In her native Sisaala, Wiyaala means “the doer” and she is currently doing what she promised.

The ‘Rock My Body’ singer has taken to social media and shared an update on the progress of the KUNKONGIBE GATE FUNSI GHANA.

Wiyaala is an award-winning Ghanaian Afro-pop singer-songwriter who sings in her native language Sissala and Waala dialects and English, often combining all three languages within her songs.
