Meet the Ghanaians Selected for 2019 Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa Programme

Obama Foundation has announced the participants selected for the 2019 Leaders: Africa programme.

The “Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa” programme is a year-long initiative to inspire, empower, and connect 200 emerging leaders from across Africa.

The leaders were chosen from 45 countries across the continent. See them below:




Among those chosen from Ghana include:

Abdul Samed Zurak, is the Chief Executive Officer of Zurak Cancer Foundation, a policy-oriented, youth-run nonprofit that provides an innovative solution to cancer prevalence through education, skill-building for medical professionals, and screening programs in underserved communities. He is passionate about primary oncology healthcare.

Kwadwo Lartey, is the Chief Executive Officer of Kay-Adae Farms, a community based mechanized farming and agribusiness enterprise. Kwadwo is focused on making communities self-sufficient in providing food to its people by producing fruits and vegetables.

Kevin Saffee Baffoe is the Chief Commercial Officer of Hands-on Technology Investors (OTM) Network limited and the Founder of Rapid Ghana Limited. He believes that businesses must exist to serve social needs and impact society.
