Meghan Markle’s father could face legal action from the Palace after he leaked the letters she wrote to him

Meghan Markle's dad, Thomas Markle, could face legal action from Kensington Palace after he leaked the private letters his daughter wrote to him.

Thomas Markle Sr, 74, received an explosive five-page letter from his daughter, the Duchess of Sussex in August last year and he leaked the letter to the media. The letter was published over the weekend and has been shared around the world.

It was also revealed that the former lighting director is prepared to release more of the letter.

In the bombshell letter, the former US actress criticised her father for his wayward behaviour. She accused him of "creating so much pain". She also suggested her father has been "exploiting" her relationship with Prince Harry.

She also pleaded with her dad to "stop lying" and accused him of "fabricating stories" to manufacture a fictitious narrative.

The letter was meant to be for Thomas Markle's eyes alone but he leaked it and his older daughter, Samantha Markle threatened that he is "prepared to release more of it."

Under UK law, Meghan owns the copyright of the handwritten letter which was published.

And it has now emerged that Palace aides are believed to be taking legal advice before the Duchess of Sussex decides whether to take action, the Telegraph reports.
