Annie Joy writes: You Need To Hear This. #BeInspired!

Nature gives us the privilege to see the next day and every day comes with an exciting and touching outreach. I have come to see how charity foundations are springing up in Ghana. In our institutions, organizations and various individual groups of which majority of the people behind are the youth. All I see is an awakened youth which is willing and ready to lift the banner of liberation. It’s remarkable and I want to commend them on that.

2018, from my point of view, saw a lot of charity foundations established with an action from these young ones from Ghana. Therefore, I want to use this opportunity to say to this wonderful souls that, Ghana is proud of you all for your good works done and still doing. We appreciate you investing to the Ghana your parents has contributed to.

Principle of Giving is understood that givers receive in numerous special ways and that will surely be your hallmark. Luke 3:10-11 , And the people asked him, saying, what shall we do then? He answer and says unto them, He that has tie coats, let him impart to him that has none; and he that has meat let him do likewise

However, there is the need to stress on the fact that, it is not a problem to buy a car but the problem is actually the “intentions” for buying the car. Basically, what this statement seeks to address is that “it is not an error to have established a charity foundations. In fact, it’s a good thing and the best gift you can give to humanity because everybody needs somebody. But the most important thing is “your intentions for establishing the charity foundations". If you are already having a charity foundation, then ask yourself this question, "Why have I established a charity foundation?" If your answer is selfless, then you are positive and on top. It is vise versa for the one who is also having the intentions of establishing a foundation.

Remember this, do good because it is a responsibility to be good and the healthy way to live.

In spite of all these, you need to hear this. Research has made it known that when you do something consistently for 40 days, it becomes your habit. Therefore, giving the impression that the process of preparing to give to that street child, that orphan or physically challenged is a consistent act that can fall within the 40 days to become a habit probably. Meaning, every step you take you should critically look at it.

However, everything good has got a disadvantage. I hope it’s true. For example, a car can take you to your destination within the shortest possible time yet it can also get involved in or cause an an accident.

This implies that, the more you give alms to the needy on the streets, in the children’s home, hospitals etc. it can come with some implications which is highly positive and negative.

Therefore, from the statistics and personal observation, I will plead to the various youths who have come up with charity foundations that, while they focus on offering a hand to external people, they should also focus on those in their lives internally. Internally means those around you and close to you. There are some who are needy, there are some roofed but are lacking, there are some nagging on social media because of hunger. Lastly, there are some parts of your team more needy than that street child you are contributing for. Why am I saying this? I plead with you to balance the equation by creating an avenue whereby you give to the external people and the internal people can benefit from your blessings too. Because the moment you develop the joy of giving to only the external people, it can become quite difficult to be a blessing to the one closer to you. I have personally grown to witness mothers and fathers who find the joy in feeding people from outside and not of their own. It is happening and it is possible. Who knows? It could be when they were young, they found joy in giving to external people. It could be if the road to success we say is found in the daily routine.

Therefore, it could be said that, the person you will become tomorrow is found in what you do today and find joy in. Your build up is solely dependent on your foundations.

While you reach out to that person in the Northern Region, don’t forget to reach out to the person whose breath you could feel every passing minute. It would blow your mind to hear that your closest person is dead as a result of need while you are reaching out to someone miles away from you. Thus if you are human, you will question your sense of humanity. Maybe your team could come up and mobilize resources to reach out to these wonderful people on the street and miles away while you try to fish out those close to you who may need funds to support, pay their fees, their feeding and accommodations. The next generation should grow to conceptualize charity as a way of giving only to the people far away. Because being great is about being someone's source of inspiration and joy.

We all cannot help everybody but we can help somebody close or far.

Dear Volunteers, from the origin, charity begins at home. It is in your best interest to acknowledge that.

Don’t forget this, the next generation should not grow with the mindset that charity is to only the external.

God bless our homeland Ghana. The future looks promising to them that will put themselves for it.

Give, because it is a responsibility. Give, because you want to be a miracle to someone. Give, because only God in Heaven blesses you for giving. Give, because it is a necessity. Give, because everybody needs everybody. Give, because you were given. Give wholeheartedly and purely, because that’s the only thing that attracts blessing.
