Award-wining TV Show, Celebrity Fanzone organized its maiden edition of the campus town hall meeting at the Wisconsin University last Thursday.

The town hall meeting which brought together students on campus focused on addressing  issues such as career development, life after school, health and skin care and other relevant social issues affecting people in Ghana and also around the world.

Addressing the main theme: ‘Stepping into the Real World,’ guest speaker AJ Sarpong encouraged participants take advantage of internship and extra-curricular opportunities while in school.

“I didn't find media, instead, media found me. I started working in the media while still in school and it was quite a challenge working and schooling at the same time,” she disclosed.

Jeremiah Buabeng, who was also a guest speaker, encouraged participants to develop the work ethic needed to succeed after school. He emphasized the importance of resourcefulness to challenge the tide of convention in our societies today.

Co-hosts, Chantelle Asante and Doreen Avio emphasized the importance of developing the requisite professional skills as young graduates rather than too much focus on financial benefits.

“When i first started working at TV3, i was paid 20 Cedis per week....but i didn't focus on the salary, because i was more focused on improving my skills,” Chantelle noted. “When the skills are developed, the money will follow,” she added.

The maiden edition of CFZ Town Hall meeting powered by AE Media and sponsored by Nivea and Airee Pads will be aired on Saturday, 5th April, 2018 on GH One TV at 9pm.
