Kumasi Police arrest 2 for beheading five-year old
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested two young men for
allegedly beheading a five-year old boy at Ampabame near Sokoban in
Kumasi, and attempting to sell the head to a spiritualist for Gh¢2,500
cash.
Vikuriba Joe Zoot, 21 years and Kozel Borama, 25 years, both from
Tongo in the Upper East Region, are said to have lured the boy, Silas
Kunsana with ice cream (Yoghurt).
They allegedly put him in a taxi cab from Suame to an uncompleted
building in Ampabame where they accomplished their barbaric act.
Briefing the media in Kumasi on Friday, the Ashanti Regional Police
Commander, COP Mr Ken Yeboah, said on March 7, 2018, the two approached a
spiritualist, Sheik Alhaji Mohammed Maheey at Suame to sell to him a
human head.

He said the spiritualist feigned interest in buying the human head
but informed the police who laid ambush at his residence at Suame Zongo.
When one of the suspects brought the head in a black polythene bag to
be sold, the police apprehended him with the exhibit (human head).
COP Yeboah said on Thursday, March 8, 2018, Zoot led the police to
arrest his accomplice and they both took the police to retrieve the
decapitated body of the five-year old in an uncompleted building at the
outskirts of Ampabame.
He said an examination of the body revealed that the hands of the deceased had been cut off.
The body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for further investigation.

“We are still investigating as to how the spiritualist came into the
whole case. We want to find out whether he requested for or they
actually sent the head to the spiritualist for ritual purposes,” he
added.
COP Yeboah said the two would soon be arraigned before court.
