Nelly's rape case dropped after accuser refuses to testify about the alleged assault

The rape case against rapper Nelly has been dropped by prosecutors in Washington State.

Recall that in October, the rapper was arrested by Auburn police after a young woman accused him of assaulting her on his tour bus. Nelly, however, denied the claims on Twitter.

According to a TMZ report on Wednesday, the case was dropped after Nelly's accuser refused to cooperate with the investigation claiming she wouldn't stand a chance taking on a celebrity in court.

The report also added that the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office revealed that the alleged victim's refusal to cooperate made it impossible for them to go forward with charging Nelly without any crime.

Her attorney also disclosed that the pressure of accusing a huge star like Nelly was just too much for her client.
