Anita Annang writes: Notes to the True African Kings and Queens

Being an African is a blessing, never forget that. We have been given all the chemicals to inject and swallow into our system but we are still stronger and have all the curves and the 6 or 8 packs in the right places. Our women can relax their hairs and choose to keep it natural or locks just to change textures. Something the whites "Bl)fonyo" "yaa nom" or better still the "Oyibo" can never have.

Our only problem is that we don't value our unique Qualities. This must change somehow. Let us learn to appreciate what we have as Africans.

Why would an African woman beat her fellow woman because of an African man? Why would an African queen live her African King because he cheated?

Why have you embraced western culture so tight only to copy the negatives?

Fellow African Queens, go and read our past and learn our culture, Greed and ignorance is taking over us. Our forefathers married "wives", not "a wife". Yet they lived longer and in harmony. We have now been told one man one wife, when they know very well that cheating by men started from Genesis, from the beginning. Let our Queens understand this and quit the nonsense.

Do not criticize or judge this write-up because you think differently. Our forefathers did not divorce only two years after marriage. Some are even celebrating 50 years of marriage when today's couple cannot even boast of two years of marriage. Be wise.

Just gather the wisdom in this write-up and live the rest as it is.

Let me start with the bible, we all know about Abraham and Lovely Sarah, if you don't know, Hager was another woman in the life of Abraham, one of God's best of friends. Let us move to Jacob, we are told, he was tricked by his in-law to marry Leah, but if he was tricked, how come Leah had more children with Jacob? In short, Jocob married both Leah and Rachel, and God richly blessed him.

David, the lineage where Jesus Christ is identified from, tell me how many wives or women he had, he even took another man's wife, yet he was a man after God's heart.

Our own king Solomon, the father of wisdom. Do you want me to tell you about his status with women? Hell No! Because even a child knows about Solomon and his concubines. The first time I heard about the word "Concubine" was when I read the story of King Solomon.

How many of the women did you hear fight over him?.

As for the Quran, it spells out the details, A man can marry even four, provided he can treat them the same.

Traditionally our forefathers married wives not a wife and they shared him and lived in harmony.

Today, women kill each other because of men. My sister, end this madness now if you are one. If a man loves you, it doesn't make him blind. The difference between a man and a woman is our "senses to attraction and feeling". A man will always be moved by the beautiful things he sees simply because he has two heads. Unfortunately the small head located down seem to be more sensitive at certain times depending on what his eye sees. The bigger head unfortunately stops thinking and live all thinking to the smaller head.

I am not saying a man must cheat, No, all am saying is that, cheating did not start today and will not end because slay queens have been born. U can encourage your men, and try to win all their senses if you can. Men who don't cheat simply respect themselves and the woman they love. These men are just unique. So women learn to devise means by which you can take their attentions from outside if you can't share, but never fight because he cheated. There are negative and positive reinforcements for men who have made it a habit. Always have it at the back of your minds that, a man who has married for years may obviously want to know what he have missed. Do not fight with your man, rather appeal to his conscience and take care of yourself, I mean work on you. That is the best antidote.

Men before you cheat look back and remember why you chose that one woman (African Queen). Ask yourself if it is worth it. Always make sure you perform your task at home before settling your side chicks if you shamelessly have one.

How many telenovela have u seen a woman beating a fellow woman because of cheating. If you are learning the Romantic parts in the telenovela, also learn the part where the woman simply dumps the man, or deals with the man sensibly. Is it in Kumawood that ladies gather friends to fight because of a man? Gross Madness is not an African gene, "Shame on you if you do that". Carry that pride as a Queen, carry that pride as a King, I mean, grow up men and women of Africa.

My opinion as a true African Babe. This is who we are. The word Unity was derived from Africa. That is what I believe.
