New On DStv This November

It’s a brand new month, with new and thrilling shows to look forward to on DStv.

And while some of our favourites continue with intriguing plotlines The Fixer, Mondays at 6pm on Vuzu AMP), we are excited for the return of old favourites, seeing what rapper 50 Cent has lined up and saying goodbye to one of our favourite shows, Fashion Police.

Here are some of the shows we’re putting in our diary this November, and making sure not to miss with the DStv Now app.

50 Central

Rapper 50 Cent is on BET with his comedy showcase. Featuring sketches, hidden camera pranks and musical performances, 50 Central is one show you don’t want to miss.

And we can’t wait to see the episode of 50 Central, where South African comedian Loyiso Gola makes his appearance.

Loving

Based on a documentary, Loving tells us the story of Mildred and Richard Loving. An interracial couple, whose marriage went against the laws during the 1960s.
Ethiopian actress Ruth Negga received her first Academy Award nomination for Best Actress as Mildred.

Madiba

The Discovery Channel is bringing us a six-part series on the life of former South African statesman, Nelson Mandela.

Madiba stars an all-star cast, including Laurence Fishburne as Mandela, Terry Pheto as Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, Hlomla Dandala as Govan Mbeki and Orlando Jones as Oliver Tambo.

WAGS LA

The drama continues in the City of Angels, with the season three premiere of WAGS LA.

With new WAGS and trade announcements, we’re in for an exciting journey with Dominique, Olivia, Sasha, Autumn, Michelle and Nicole.

2017 MTV Europe Music Awards

MTV promises an entertaining evening, when Rita Ora hosts the annual music award show. Taking place in London, some of music's biggest stars will perform, including Rita Ora, Travis Scott and French Montana.

And with Babes Wodumo, C4 Pedro, Davido, Nasty C, Nyashinski and Wizkid nominated, it's anyones guess who will win the Best African Act award.

Patti LaBelle’s Place

In November, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, and legendary R’n’B singer Patti LaBelle’s branded sweet potato pie, is sure to be on the menu.

On Food Network, we get to see Patti’s star power in the kitchen as she entertains her showbiz friends and treats them with her home cooked food.

Queen of Katwe

Lupita N’yongo and David Oyelowo lend their star power to this powerful story, set in Uganda’s biggest slum, Katwe.

Based on true events, see how a young girl’s life changes when she is introduced to chess.

Face Value

BET continues the fun and games with Deon Cole and Tiffany Haddish, where it’s all about reading a book by its cover.

With teams being led by celebrity captains, Face Value breaks down stereotypes and exposes prejudices.

Fashion Police

The curtain is coming down on a fashion classic. Celebrating seven years of laughter and outrageous moments, the hosts of Fashion Police will say goodbye for the last time.

black-ish

The Johnsons are back! With a new addition (Devante) to the family and their first born Zoe going off to college, we can’t wait to see how Dre and Rainbow deal with all the changes.
