Anita Erskine gives Keynote Address at PowerWomen 232 NetWorth Ball
More than 200 Sierra Leoneans on Saturday, November 18th, attended the 2nd Annual NetWorth Ball at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel in Freetown. Guests attending the event included the Deputy US Ambassador to Sierra Leone Tomeka Burl, USAID Country Director Khadijat Mojidi, former Ambassador to China, Hon. Alimamy Philip Koroma and leading business personalities.
Power Women 232 members strongly believe in giving back to their
community and do so through service projects supporting young girls and
women. In 2016-2017, they mentored young girls from secondary schools in
Freetown. For 2017/2018 their focus is the importance of Health and
Personal Hygiene for young girls.
The keynote speaker Anita Erskine thrilled guests
with an inspiring talk on the importance of women believing in and
uplifting themselves and other women and the importance of strong
communities. “You are only as good as those you surround yourself
with so if you want to be great, make sure you are in the company of
great people”
Guests were dazzled by the decor of Sierra Leone’s newest Events
company, the event was tantalized with the delectable voice of musician Daniel Bangura. The sound system was provided by the one and only DJ Fader.

PW232’s out-going president Manja Abdulai spoke on
the importance of women supporting women as she believes that Sierra
Leonean’s future will be based on the achievements of its women.
Power Women 232 is a network of women professionals and
entrepreneurs committed to Inspiring, Engaging and Leading the next
generation of female leaders in Sierra Leone.
