Being A TV & Radio Personality Is Difficult For My Children - Jon Germain

Ghanaian musician, radio and television personality, Jon Germain, has stated that being in the limelight is not as rosy as many people often tend to believe, arguing that it is sometimes very difficult for his children.

Jon Germain, on the Celebrity Fanzone show last Saturday disclosed that negative comments about him on social media often does not go down well with his son who obviously knows him to be a very nice person.

He stated: “Being in the limelight is not so much fun when you have children. For my son, the problem is he knows me as a different person.

Obviously, I am his father and he thinks I am a very nice person and he sees stories of people tweeting about the fact that I am ‘this and that way,’ he doesn’t really get it. And then he comes back to me and says, ‘is there a problem.’ Why do people tweet stuff like that,’ and seriously sometimes I can’t explain.”

Jon Germain however explained that despite the challenges that come along with being a TV personality, he tries to raise his children as best as he can, taking cues from how his parents raised him.

“I always think about how my father and my mother were like with me. I think we were a bit lucky. While growing up I thought my mother was my sister and my father an older brother because they were so cool.

You hardly hear my father yell but he is going to get you to do the right thing. I am not like my father bit i try to raise my children like that despite the fact that I am a quick tempered person,” Jon noted.

Jon Germain currently works with Starr103.5 FM and is the host of a show called ''Drop Off'' from Mondays to Thursdays , 7pm to 10pm.
