Jogger pushes woman into path of oncoming bus (video)
A woman narrowly missed getting crushed by a bus when she was pushed into the path of an oncoming bus by a jogger in London.
At about 7.40am on 5 May, a 33-year-old woman was walking across
Putney Bridge when the runner knocked her into the road just as the bus
was approaching, and the heart-stopping moment was caught on CCTV
camera. The double-decker bus narrowly avoided hitting the woman.
Seconds later, passengers got down from the bus and rushed to help her
out of the way.
Some minutes after the near accident, the jogger made his way back
across the bridge and the victim tried to speak to him about what
happened but he did not pay attention to her and continued running.
The woman suffered minor injuries in the incident, according to the
Met Police. The jogger has been described as a white man with brown eyes
and short brown hair who is in his early to mid-30s. Officers are
asking anyone who recognises him to get in touch.
Sergeant Mat Knowles said: "The victim was put in extreme danger when
she was knocked into the road. It was only due to the superb quick
reactions of the bus driver that she was not hit by the vehicle."
