Beyoncé tweets for first time in over a year — see what she had to say

Queen Bey has broken her Twitter silence on Friday — but before you get your hopes up, no, it’s not a reaction to hubby JAY-Z’s 4:44 album or pictures of the twins.

Beyoncé tweeted an image and link to her charity project "Beygood4Burundi."

According to her website, Burundi is one of the most densely populated countries in the heart of Africa, with "nearly half of the population lacking access to clean, safe drinking water."

Beygood4Burundi teamed up with UNICEF for the project, which aims to build water-supply systems for healthcare facilities and schools and more.

It seems the singer isn't much for personal tweets. Her last tweet, which was on April 23, 2016, was a promotional share for her Lemonade album.  (Her famous pregnancy announcement post was made via Instagram.)

Now the world waits for the queen to speak again.
