A Night Of Great Conversation And Sisterhood

The Alliance of Women in Media Africa (AWMA) is partnering Anita Erskine Media to host Nigerian Publisher and Philanthropist, Betty Irabor to a night of great, insightful conversation over dinner at the African Regent Hotel in Accra on Saturday, 8th July 2017.

Betty is the Editor-In-Chief and Chief Executive Officer of Genevieve Magazine, a very successful and popular lifestyle magazine distributed beyond Africa. She is also a philanthropist, public speaker and champion for breast cancer awareness with her nonprofit known as Genevieve PinkBall Foundation.

Prior to establishing Genevieve Magazine in 2003, she had previously worked as a freelance writer for ThisDay, and Vanguard newspapers and contributed a few columns for Black & Beauty magazine UK.

Joining us on the night as well as will be veteran Journalist/Politician, Elizabeth Ohene. With over four decades rich and colourful experience in public service spanning continents, Ms Ohene is set to share some very valuable nuggets on the night.

AWMA is progressive, non partisan, non profit Africa wide organization based in Ghana dedicated to promoting an inclusive global discourse where the voices, stories, experiences and images of African women and girls are sufficiently and equally represented.

We want women to be visible, relevant, impactful and powerful across the media industry.
