Photos: Allians Awards 2017: Anas, Stephen Appiah, Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah honoured

Ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas was awarded the topmost prize at the inaugural the “Allianz Awards” held at the National Theatre last night, June 18. Aptly dubbed “The Brave Award“, it was bestowed upon him for his unparalleled contribution to the society through breathtaking journalism, constantly at the risk of his own life.

Other outstanding Ghanaians were recognised for their impact across various aspects of society, such as football icon Stephen Appiah, who walked home with The Inspiration Award, Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah (The Purpose Award), and Brigitte Sossou Perenyi (The Make A Difference Award).

Hosted by EIB’s Anita Erskine and Kafui Dey, the evening also witnessed exciting live band performances from Efya, M.anifest, Lady Jay, Haywaya, Cina Soul, and Alexia Quartey.  Top celebrities as Panji Annorf, Bola Ray, Eric Don-Arthur, Reggie Rockson, Berla Mundi, Joselyn Dumas among others graced the event.

Some GHc 40,000.00, raised from ticket sales as well as contribution from Allianz Ghana was raised to support OAfrica, a not-for -profit organisation that fosters family-based care for orphans/vulnerable kids.
