‘Efie Wura’ actor, Kofi Agyiri dies from kidney-related ailment

Kofi Agyiri, of the popular TV series ‘Efie Wura’ fame has reportedly passed away, today June 29.  He died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after being ill for some time.

His death was confirmed by fellow actor Seth Kwabena Kyere Karikari better known as Koo Fori. Speaking to Okay FM, Koo Fori said he recieved the news of the actor’s passing from the producer and director of the ‘Efie Wura’ series, Kofi Andoh.

“It is a sad moment for us as we mourn Kofi Agyiri who was always committed to the Efiewura series. 

Sometimes when we are financially challenged, he uses his own resources to finance some part of the project. I know he is married with kids but will not want to divulge further details. I will make funeral arrangements and others public when the time is due,” he said.

Kofi Agyiri is said to have been receiving treatment for kidney-related ailments when he passed away. Some TV personalities have already began extending their sympathies following the announcement of his passing.
