Katy Perry says she’s sleeping through Trump’s inauguration

Katy Perry isn't looking to rise on inauguration day. The pop star — who was an outspoken Hillary Clinton supporter — declared that she was "sleeping in" for Donald Trump's inauguration as the next president of the United States before she would embark on the Women's March on Saturday.

"Sleeping in," she tweeted early Friday morning, followed by, "Then, I'm marching. #WomensMarch."

Perry, 32, was one of Clinton's biggest star supporters throughout the election and the "Rise" singer openly voiced how devastated she became once learning Trump had won the election.

The California girl released a self-produced PSA earlier this week that questioned if Trump's xenophobic rhetoric was a sign that history is repeating itself.

The video featured the tagline, "Don't normalize hate."

When it was announced that she would be one of the high-profile stars joining the Women's March in Washington, she tweeted, "SISTERS ARE DOIN' IT FOR THEMSELVES!"

Perry has often received backlash from the conservative community for being such a die-hard Democrat because her parents are both pastors in California and "staunch Republicans."

She even revealed that they both voted for Trump — but that didn't separate them as a family.
