Internet queen! Meghan Markle is Google's most-searched actress of 2016

Who's that girl! Meghan Markle may be Prince Harry's girlfriend, but she was also online royalty in 2016.

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, Google revealed the top celebrity searches for 2016 and the "Suits" actress topped the charts as the most-searched actress of the year (something tells us it has less to do with her acting and more to do with her personal life).

It's actually quite a feat, considering news of her romance only broke in October.

Meghan beat out fellow actresses Marion Cotillard, who came in second on the list, "Star Wars" sensation Daisy Ridley and Best Actress Oscar winner Brie Larson.

Interestingly, Angelina Jolie didn't figure into the top 10, but her estranged husband, Brad Pitt, took the No. 1 spot for the most-searched actor.

While there has seemingly always been interest in Brad, the public's curiosity this past calendar year was certainly aided by his ongoing divorce, which was announced in September. There is also a strong likelihood that Marion Cotillard's popularity can be associated with the actor, as muckraking tabloids linked them earlier this year, with many incorrectly speculating that Brad was the father of her unborn child. The two starred in "Allied" together.

Google also released its most-searched musicians, and, well, they call her Queen Bey for a reason, folks. Beyonce topped the list for 2016, perhaps aided by her controversial Super Bowl performance in February and the release of Lemonade in the spring. Bey bested the likes of Celine Dion, Kesha and even Kanye West, who had a roller coaster of a year.
