Kanye West went on a surprising rant about Jay Z on Wednesday, sparked by a failed collaboration called “Pop Style.” Among his claims was that his pal hasn’t reached out since Kim Kardashian was robbed.
West was performing at Seattle’s Key Arena when he unloaded about problems with his longtime friend and collaborator. While “Pop Style” appears on Drake’s album, West claimed there was another version with him, Drake and Jay Z that wasn’t released because Jay felt loyalty towards Meek Mill, who is signed to Roc Nation. He further blamed royalty issues between Jay’s Tidal and Apple, with which Drake is affiliated, for preventing the track’s release.

Watch The Throne 2,” West told the crowd, referring to his joint album with Jay. “That’s the reason I wasn’t on this song [‘Pop Style’]. I wasn’t on the song cause of Hov. ‘Cause of some Tidal/Apple bull****. And that s*** be getting me tight every time I perform this mother******”
West went on to complain, “Jay thought about it, and out of respect to Meek Mill, he didn’t want to be on the track. I said, ‘We’ve got to squash this s*** and let people have this song.’ But then it went into some political s***, some s*** about percentages on songs.” But he also revealed there’s some personal issues going on now, too.
The rapper called out Jay for allegedly not reaching out in the wake of Kardashian’s robbery. “Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘how you feelin’?’” he rants. “You wanna know how I’m feelin’? Come by the house.” West also reportedly mentioned that Jay’s daughter Blue Ivy and his own tyke, North, have never had a playdate.
So far, Jay has not responded to West’s tirade.
