An argument on football between two friends turned bloody as one of them allegedly stabbed the other to death Saturday afternoon.

The suspect, who was identified only as Sadique, reportedly stabbed Mustapha in the left side of the chest, killing him instantly.

That was when Manchester United and Manchester City clashed in a titanic derby in the English Premier League, far away in the United Kingdom (UK).

The heart-breaking incident occurred at the KTI area, a suburb of Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

Sadique was said to have vanished into thin air after he had purportedly committed the heinous crime, people at the crime scene claimed.

A group of young men, including the deceased and the suspect, as usually done during weekends, were said to be debating the Manchester match.

The ordinary debate then reportedly generated into heated verbal assaults between the two men and in the process, Sadique allegedly stabbed Mustapha.

Mustapha reportedly bled profusely, became unconscious and so he was rushed to the hospital by onlookers in an effort to save his life.

Unfortunately, Mustapha was pronounced dead at the Manhyia Government Hospital.

His body has since been dumped at the morgue for autopsy and subsequent investigation by the police.

A police source confirmed the incident to this paper and said that the security agencies were doing everything possible to arrest Sadique.
