2 Little Sisters Killed

Residents of Shama junction, in the Shama District of the Western Region were astonished last Monday evening when news broke that two female siblings in the area had been knocked down and killed by a hit-and-run driver on the Shama-Daboase junction road.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that the two little girls, Emmanuela Enchil, 12 and Stephanie Enchil, 9 – all pupils of Aboadze International School – were in the company of their elder sister, Maame Aba Nyamewa, 13, when the incident happened at about 6pm.

According to sources, the nucleus family of the two girls was yet to come out of their trauma after news of the sudden demise of the two beautiful siblings reached it.

Eyewitnesses accounts had it that the three siblings were with their mother at her shop at Inchaban last Monday but when it was getting dark, the mother asked them to go home and bath. They indicated that the three girls then boarded a tro-tro and upon getting to Shama junction where they lived, they alighted.

“So as the two younger siblings were crossing the road, a mini bus which was allegedly speeding from the opposite direction hit them,” an eyewitness indicated.

They were reportedly picked by another vehicle and rushed to the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital but they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Emmanuel Koomson, a family member of the deceased who confirmed the story to DAILY GUIDE, indicated that the driver of the mini bus later reported himself to the police at Inchaban and was in police custody as at press time.

He revealed that the bodies of the two minors had been conveyed to the morgue at the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital for autopsy whilst investigation into the incident continued.
